Orthopedic footwear
Footwear measured and fitted in clinic, matched to how and where you will wear it. There is no fee for a footwear fitting. Fittings are with a member of our admin team experienced in footwear fitting and should be booked in advance. A fitting does not include an assessment with a Chiropodist, which is booked separately.

Athletic, casual, sandal and safety footwear from established orthopedic brands. Where your size or colour is not in stock, we order it directly from the manufacturer.
Orthopedic footwear and fitting
Poorly fitting shoes are among the most common contributors to foot pain, and they can worsen bunions, calluses and hammertoes. Our admin team members experienced in footwear fitting measure your feet and match the shoe to its intended use, whether athletic, casual, sandal or safety footwear.
Where we do not hold your size or colour in stock, we order it directly from the manufacturer, from a size 15 extra-wide through to a size 5 narrow.
We can review whether your third-party benefits cover off-the-shelf orthopedic footwear and submit an estimate to your insurer before you purchase. Footwear and custom orthotics work together, though shoes are always sold separately from orthotics.

Medical-grade compression socks are fitted without an appointment by our Certified Compression Sock Fitters, and knee and ankle braces are chosen after assessment. Each now has its own page.
Why Fitting Matters
Footwear and foot pain
Fit is measured, not estimated
Many patients wear shoes that are too small, which crowds the foot, contributes to numbness while walking or running, and causes blisters. A correctly fitted shoe allows room to move the toes freely.
Poor fit worsens existing conditions
Badly fitting shoes can cause or aggravate bunions, calluses and hammertoes. For patients with diabetes, correct fit is more important still.
Difficult sizes accommodated
From a size 15 extra-wide through to a size 5 narrow, we order directly from the manufacturer so that the selection available matches that of more common sizes.
Fittings are free and carried out by admin team members experienced in footwear fitting. For a foot assessment, book with one of our Chiropodists.
