About Chiropractic Care
Addressing the underlying cause of pain
By identifying the underlying cause of pain and developing an individual treatment plan, we aim to achieve durable relief and reduce the likelihood of recurrence, while providing the guidance needed to maintain it.
What is chiropractic care?
A non-invasive, hands-on discipline focused on the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors diagnose, treat and prevent conditions of the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints using a manual approach.
How adjustment helps
Spinal manipulation, known as the chiropractic adjustment, is the most common procedure performed. Adjusting the affected joint and surrounding tissues re-establishes mobility and reduces pain and muscle stiffness, allowing the tissues to recover.
What to expect at your first visit
Your chiropractor will take a full health history and discuss your pain and concerns, then perform a series of tests to determine an appropriate treatment plan. Treatment combines hands-on care with in-clinic modalities, including laser and ultrasound when inflammation or soft tissue pain is part of the picture.
Prevention and movement
Care often includes self-management strategies, home exercise guidance or regular in-office visits, depending on your health, age and daily habits. Assessment of how you move by a rehabilitation professional can reduce the risk of injury and improve joint mobility and movement patterns.
