Custom Orthotics for Soccer Cleats

Support within the slimmest of footwear.

Soccer combines running, sprinting, cutting and kicking, often in cleats with minimal cushioning and a close fit. Studs concentrate pressure at specific points beneath the foot, and the forefoot is loaded heavily during acceleration and changes of direction.

A soccer orthotic is designed to fit the limited volume of a cleat while supporting the foot and helping to distribute pressure.

What your sport asks of your feet

Cleats are close-fitting and firm, offering little internal support. Space is limited, so the device must be slim without compromising function.

01

Support

A slim contoured shell supports the arch within the tight fit of a cleat, reducing strain on the plantar fascia during running and cutting.

02

Alignment

Moderating excessive foot motion may reduce load on the tendons of the foot and ankle during rapid changes of direction.

03

Cushioning and efficiency

A thin cushioned extension helps disperse the pressure concentrated beneath studs and the forefoot.

Evidence

What the research indicates

Orthotic research continues to develop, and individual responses vary. We base our prescriptions on your assessment and use published evidence to guide, rather than overstate, expected outcomes.

  • Systematic review evidence indicates that foot orthoses can modify rearfoot motion and lower-limb loading during movement.
  • Because cleats provide limited space, comfort is essential; research in athletes associates comfortable orthoses with favourable changes in loading and muscle activity.
